Patricia Travis

Patricia Helen Travis was born February 21, 1960 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Dale and Beverly (Buelow) Travis. She grew up in northeast Minneapolis and graduated from Thomas Edison High School.

Patty briefly worked for the Minneapolis Water Department as a clerk. She was blessed with one child, Candace. Patty moved to Alexandria, MN to be closer to family. Patty enjoyed the out of doors. In her younger years, she was a talented artist, learned to make jewelry, painted in oils and watercolors. Patty played the guitar and she enjoyed visiting with her friends and family.

Patty developed health issues as an adult and did not have an easy life. She died on May 28, 2018 at the age of fifty-eight years.  She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Travis. Patty is survived by her mother, Beverly Travis of Alexandria; daughter, Candace Matthews; sisters; Cynthia Reitsma and husband, Pat, of Minneapolis and Victoria Moore and husband, Danny, of Minneapolis; her aunts, uncles, nieces and nephew; and her faithful companion, Maya.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM, Friday, June 1, 2018 at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Reverend John Martinson will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN.
