Patricia Mary Westbrock

Patricia Mary Westbrock, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home, on December 29, 2024, at the age of 71. She was born on November 8, 1953, and grew up on a farm in Browns Valley, Minnesota, the daughter of Paul and Joan (Lewandowski) Serocki, where she spent her early years surrounded by the love of her family and friends. 

Patricia graduated from high school in 1972 and married the love of her life, Leon Westbrock, on August 12, 1972, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley. Together, they shared over five decades filled with love, adventure, and cherished memories. They initially resided in Hoffman/Elbow Lake before moving to Inver Grove Heights, where they raised their three children: Jason, Julie, and Kevin. 

Patricia earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma from Alexandria Technical School in 1973 and later pursued her Registered Nurse (RN) degree, focusing on diabetic education. For over 20 years, she dedicated herself to her work at Health Partners in the Inver Grove Heights Clinic, imparting her knowledge and compassion to countless patients. Despite her struggles with Parkinson's disease for the past 30 years, Patricia’s strength and unwavering spirit remained a source of inspiration for those around her. 

Patricia was known for her boundless kindness, thoughtfulness, and deep faith as a devoted Christian. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel loved and valued, often communicating her affection through her culinary creations. Whether it was baking thousands of cookies or preparing meals for loved ones, food was truly her love language. Patricia's love extended to her grandchildren, whom she delighted in spoiling with joy and affection. 

Patricia had a zest for life, finding joy in traveling the world with Leon, fishing, playing cards, and passionately supporting her family during their sports events and gatherings. The love and warmth she brought to family gatherings will forever be treasured by those who knew her. 

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Leon Westbrock, and her three children, Jason (Michelle) Westbrock, Julie ( Jason Wendlandt) Westbrock, and Kevin (Holly) Westbrock; grandchildren, Leyton Westbrock, Tatumn Westbrock, Teagan Westbrock, Sean Healy, Grayson Westbrock, Hunter Westbrock, and Lane Westbrock; brother Paul (Kathy) Serocki; sisters Mary Ann “Toots” Beyl and Frances (Lawrence) Renelt; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Joan Serocki, brothers, Jerome Serocki, Robert Serocki, and Joseph Serocki, and her sister Cathy Yost.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 4-6 PM with a 6 PM Parish Prayer Service at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria and continue one hour prior to the Mass at the Church of St. Mary in Alexandria on Friday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11 AM at the Church of St. Mary in Alexandria.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Alexandria.
