Paul Erick

Paul William Erick was born on October 19, 1943 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota the son of Bernie and Louzetta (Boomhower) Erick. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Sioux Falls and received his Bachelor's Degree from Sioux Falls College.
Paul was united in marriage to Judy Rector on October 22, 1961 in Sioux Falls. After their marriage the couple moved to Minneapolis where Paul worked for Arthur Anderson Accounting Firm and within a few years was hired by Olsen Thielen Accounting Firm where he became a partner. Paul retired from Olsen Thielen in 2000 and then was on the Board of Directors for New Ulm Telecommunications until 2013.
Throughout his life Paul had a passion for cars especially muscle cars. He and Judy also enjoyed time up at their cabin on Mill Lake which became their home after his retirement.
Paul died on Friday, September 30, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Jeffrey of Forrest Lake, MN; three grandchildren: Dustin (Ashley), Calder, Corina; great granddaughter, Stella; brother, Robert (Janet) of Montana; brother-in-law, James (Karen) Rector of Virginia, sister-in-law, Jane Rector of Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials preferred to Hospice of Douglas County.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, 2:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
