Paul Michael Newhouse

Paul Michael Newhouse was born on July 26, 1949. He graduated high school in Alexandria, MN, then graduated college in Minneapolis. Paul enlisted in the Army as a mechanic and was deployed to Vietnam. Upon returning home he joined the National Guard becoming a winter survivalist instructor, married Joyce Stenke in 1970, and had two children, Melissa 1973 and Michael 1975. Paul and Joyce operated Newhouse Machinery, him as a manager and salesman and her as an accountant bookkeeper just like his parents before him. Retired in 2000, Paul began traveling the country 6 months a year for 19 years. Paul enjoyed boating and fishing and all the traveling. One of his favorite sayings is “We don't say goodbye, we say see you down the road”.

Paul Newhouse passed away peacefully at Alex Assisted Living on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the age of 73. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Newhouse; parents, Julian and Evelyn Newhouse; and daughter, Melissa Newhouse. He is survived by son, Michael Newhouse; daughter-in-law, Meggan Newhouse; grandson, Lucas; sister-in-law, Jeanne (David) Sawatzky; and brother-in-law, Rod (Laurie) Stenke.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 17, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Kinkead Cemetery.
