Paulette Louise Bakeberg

Paulette Louise Bakeberg, lovingly known as "Paul," passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on December 11, 1946, in Clinton, Minnesota. Paulette touched the lives of many through her unwavering positivity and dedication to her family.

Paul was born on Dec. 11th, 1946, to Wendell (Bud) & Gladys Paulsen in Clinton, MN. Paul's early years were spent in Clinton, where she graduated from Clinton High School. She furthered her education by attending business college in Minneapolis, graduating with an associate's degree. After LA, Paul and Denny moved to Minneapolis then off to build a house in Missouri. They then returned home to Ortonville to raise their 5 kids and live many years. Paul made a huge decision to move her and Denny back to Minneapolis to follow her passion, working for Primerica Financial Services. 2016 was a rough year, a massive stroke changed her life forever. Denny cared for her at their home in Osakis until recently where she resided at Bethany on Lake.

As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Paul was truly remarkable. She was known for her kindness, welcoming nature, and an innate ability to spread joy. Paul often took the time to send positive quotes to her grandchildren to uplift their spirits. In her leisure, she cherished baking and had a deep love for flowers, pursuits that reflected her nurturing personality.

Paul is survived by her husband, Dennis, her children; son Kyle Bakeberg of Nelson, MN; daughters Shelly (Richard) Stanek of Alexandria, MN, Kelly (Cory) Veland of Sioux Falls, SD, and Danielle “Dani” (Jason) Bock of Britton, SD; mother Gladys Paulsen of Ortonville, MN; siblings Trish (Leroy) Hamman of Ortonville, MN; Ricky (Sandy) Paulsen of Graceville, MN; Jeanette (Randy) Polhamus of Kirkland, WA; Diana Paulsen of Wilmot, SD. She was a proud grandmother to Jordyn (Derek) Zwanziger of Huron, SD; Taylor Bock of Fargo, ND; Tanner (Paige) Bock of Britton, SD; Jasias “Zippy” Bock of Milbank, SD; Dacotah (Josh) Evavold of Fergus Falls, MN; Tianna (Zach) Stanek of Grand Forks, ND; Tessa Stanek of Alexandria, MN; Cayden (Kaylee) Veland of Brandon, SD; Kobe Veland of Sioux Falls, SD; Corbin Veland Sioux Falls, SD; Kennedi Veland of Sioux Falls, SD; Will Bakeberg of Ortonville, MN; Luci Bakeberg of Ortonville, MN; Jaxson Bakeberg of Nelson, MN; Taryn Bakeberg of Nelson, MN; and Mackenzie Bakeberg of Garfield, MN. She also held dear her great-grandchildren Brooks, Lincoln, and Colten Zwanziger of Huron, SD, and another great-grandson expected in March.

Paulette was preceded in death by her father Wendell "Bud", her brother Roger, and her son Kory Lee, who will all be remembered and truly missed.

Visitation will be held on January 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM at New Testament Church, located at 2505 MN-29, Alexandria, MN 56308. These services will provide family and friends the opportunity to honor her life and legacy.

Paulette will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
