OBITUARY Pauline Florence Yff was born on June 11, 1921 in Glenwood, MN, the daughter of Alfred and Myrtle (Larson) Triebenbach. She grew up on a farm and attended country school near Osakis, MN. Pauline moved to California after the depression years and worked in different factories during the war. She moved back to Minnesota and lived in Minneapolis working as a housekeeper. Pauline was united in marriage to Martin Yff in 1948 in Minneapolis, MN. To this union 3 sons were born Ervin, Ronald, and Gary. Pauline raised her family in South Minneapolis and kept a close watch on her three sons. She learned how to cook bake early in life and became a wonderful cook. Her homemade bread and her choke cherry jelly were said to be the ?Best in the World.? She also tended to her vegetable garden and canned many fruits and vegetables. She liked to sew, knit, crochet, and make quilts. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe. Pauline volunteered her time at the Douglas County Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She was a type of women who always helped others first before herself. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Pauline died on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Bethany Home in Alexandria at the age of 90 years old. She is survived by her three sons Ervin (Yoko) Yff of Edina, MN; Ron (Kathy) Yff of South Haven, MN; Gary (Cindy) Yff of Cottage Grove, MN; grandchildren Paula (Pranab) Barman of San Francisco, CA; Martin (Alyssa) Yff Raleigh, NC; Jeremy Yff of St. Paul, MN; Jim Yff, St. Paul, MN; one great granddaughter Elora Barman of San Francisco, CA; sisters Irene Plemel of Long Prairie, MN; Elsie Frank of Long Prairie, MN; and Eulene Holmquist of Long Prairie, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Martin Yff; sister Hulda Triebenbach; and brother Elmer Triebenbach. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverend Roger Parks officiating.
