Pete Olson

Wallace Marvin ?Pete? Olson passed away peacefully on December 17, 2013 at the HavenwoodCareCenter in Bemidji, MN the age of 91. Pete was born July 6, 1922 the son of A. Richard and Hazel Olson. He is survived by his brother Richard ?Shorty? (Bee Ann) Olson, his nephew Dirk (Joan) Olson and nieces, Riki (Bill) Scheela, Cozy (Bobby) Prusak, Julie (Dwayne) Smith and many great nieces and nephews and their children. Pete grew up in Alexandria, MN and served as an Army flight instructor during World War II. He worked as a hospital administrator for LutheranHospitals and Homes Society. During his career, Pete lived in many places but always loved the mountains of Montana where he spent time hunting and fly fishing. Pete retired to Sun City. AZ to play golf but always maintained a home in Alexandria where he would spend his summers until moving back permanently in 2004. Pete is remembered as a devoted son, generous person and a perfect gentleman. Funeral service was held on Friday, December 20, 2013, 1:00 PM at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Casket Bearers were Dirk Olson, Dwayne Smith, Hunter Smith, William Scheela, Jonah Joyce, Jeremiah JoyBurial was held at Kinkead Cemetery.
