Phillip Krahn

Phil was born on October 5, 1951 in Stillwater, MN, to Harold and Dolores Krahn. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1969.

After High School Phil began working for the Gillette Company in St. Paul, where he remained for 36 years. He met his sweetheart Karla at Gillette, then built a wonderful life for his wife and kids. Phil and Karla married in 1980 and made their home in St. Croix Beach for 26 years. They purchased their lakehome in Alexandria in 1984, where they spent weekends and summer vacations. Many fond and treasured memories were created over the years with friends and family at the lake. Later they made this their home.

Phil was the best storyteller. He had a knack for exaggerating and adding drama to keep everyone entertained. He was always willing to help others and appreciated his friends and family who were always willing to return the favor: but rarely asked for help.

Phil died on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.  He is survived by his loving wife Karla, grandson Karlan, daughter Crystal and son-in-law Kevin.

He loved a good party and has requested a private graveside service with a party to follow.   In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
