OBITUARY Raymond Lawrence Dvorsak was born May 23, 1921 in Lake Mary Township, MN, the son of Frank and Mary (Bosek) Dvorsak. He attended District 4 country school in Lake Mary Township and was baptized and confirmed at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. Raymond helped his father on the farm and then served in the United States Army during WWII. Raymond was united in marriage to Anna Kalina on January 29, 1947 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. Together they resided in the Kensington area and Ray sold McNess Products throughout Minnesota. Soon Ray and Anna opened Ray?s Recreation in Kensington, MN. Ray cooked for many years at his restaurant and was known for his ?deep fried turtle?. Ray and Anna moved into a ?Round? house on Lake Venus. There he used his butchering skills to cut meat for his restaurant, family, neighbors, and friends. Ray had a few hobbies which included, raising pheasants and ducks, splitting fire wood, traveling between the east and west coasts and Hawaii and wintering in Texas. His favorite hobby however was fishing. He loved to go fishing with Anna and his nieces and nephews. After his loving wife Anna died in 1998, Ray met Helen Yancy in Texas. They were married on November 18, 2000. Together they lived on Delta Lake in Monte Alto, TX. In September of 2012 Raymond moved back to Alexandria residing at Bethel Manor. Raymond L. Dvorsak died after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Bethany Home in Alexandria at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife Helen Dvorsak of Katy, TX; brother Donald Dvorsak of Alexandria; sister Magdalene Trousil of Alexandria; 11 God-children; and many relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Anna Dvorsak, brother Robert Dvorsak, and sister Eleanor Chermak. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11AM at Our Lady of the Runestone Catholic Church in Kensington, MN. A visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. www.andersonfuneral.net
