Raymond Myers

Raymond Marlin Myers was born on July 25, 1934 in Ridgeway, Minnesota the son of Robert and Minnie (Hahn) Myers. His family moved to Plainview, Minnesota and he graduated from Plainview High School in 1953.
On June 3, 1956 he married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn. Ray taught Industrial Arts Special Education in Minnesota, Maryland and Iowa. He and Marilyn moved to Alexandria in 1976. Ray worked at Bellanca and Eagle Aircraft and Alex Glass and Glazing until retirement in 1997.
Ray was a talented wood worker and made many things for friends and the Shalom bazaar.
Ray died on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; and brother, Roger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Dorothy, Helen, Frances, Phyllis.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017, 1:00 PM. at Shalom Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home.
