Raymond Suchy

Raymond H. Suchy was born on October 21, 1913 in Otter Tail County near Urbank, MN to Bernard and Magdalen (Lambertz) Suchy. He was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Church in Urbank and also attended Sacred Heart School in Urbank through the 8th grade. Ray went to work on farms north of Breckenridge near Brushvale for a few years and then to a farm near Alexandria. In 1940 he married Mary Ann Anderson at St. Mary?s Church in Alexandria. They rented a farm south of Carlos for four years then bought a farm northwest of Nelson where Ray lived until 2008. Ray and Mary Ann became parents of five children ?Daniel, Brian, Mark, Angela, and Clifford. Ray was a member of St. Mary?s Church in Alexandria and also a member of Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and going to dances. Ray was preceded in death by his sweet wife MaryAnn, his parents Bernard and Magdalen, brothers Edward and David, sisters Katherine Seppelt and Magdalen Kelly, brothers-in-law Gebhart Klimek, Joseph Kelly and Tom Seppelt, and sister-in-law Alveda Suchy. He is survived by his dear sister Adelaide Klimek, his wonderful children Daniel (JoAnn), Brian (Shirley), Mark, Angie (Rick Brown) and Clifford; stupendous grandchildren Melissa and Michelle Suchy, Matthew and Rachel Brown, awesome step-grandchild Erik Germundsen and many nieces and nephews Memorials preferred to N.C.
