Raymond Trousil

March 27, 1923 — May 2, 2017

Raymond Robert Trousil age 94 of Alexandria, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Knute Nelson Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Knute Nelson Chapel with burial to follow at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to mass at the chapel.

Raymond Robert Trousil was born on March 27, 1923, the son of Wencil and Theresa (Trvdik) Trousil of Lake Mary Township. He attended grade school at District 14. After finishing the eighth grade he started working on his family farm. On June 7th of 1955 he married his to be lifelong sweetheart, Dorothy Zeithamer. Together the couple would take over the family farm working the fields, milking the cows, chasing chickens and pigs.

When Raymond was not busy farming he enjoyed dancing, to old time music, and listening to it whenever he could- even in the tractor. He could be found fishing at the lake as a child and as an adult picked up the hobby of metal fabrication. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Raymond was a caring, kind, loving friend and husband who will be missed. He passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Knute Nelson Home at the age of ninety-four.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wencil and Theresa Trousil; brother-in-law's, Bennie Kalina, Rudy and Shirley Zeithamer; sister-in-law, Ruth Krause; nephew, Alan Kalina; and two great nephews.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Arlene) Zeithamer and Richard (Sonja) Zeithamer; sister Marjorie Kalina.
