Rebecca Ann Wicklum was born February 24, 1954 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Bedtke) Wicklum. She grew up in Rosemount, MN where she graduated high school. Following high school Rebecca served in the United States Army. After being discharged from the Army Rebecca returned to Minnesota and began raising her family. She was blessed with three girls, Melissa, Sarah and Heather Rebecca met Bill Koetter from Brandon, MN. The two were married in 1996 at St Ann?s Church in Brandon. The couple made their home in Brandon. That same year Rebecca began raising her two grandchildren, Desiree and Dustin. She raised her grandchildren as if they were her own. Rebecca worked with Bill at Bill & Beckie?s Grocery in Brandon. She retired from the store in 2004 when she became disabled. Rebecca enjoyed reading, crocheting and knitting. She loved animals; at one time she owned horses and she always had to have at least two dogs in the house. She was a member of the Brandon Fire Department Auxiliary. Spending time with her family was what Rebecca enjoyed the most in life. On Saturday, April 26, 2014 Rebecca died at the age of sixty years. Her father, Edward Wicklum, Sr.; two brothers, Edward Wicklum, Jr. and Andrew Wicklum; and one grandson, Noah Hofbauer preceded her in death. Rebecca is survived by her husband, Bill Koetter of Brandon; three daughters, Melissa Carlson of Alexandria, Heather Larscheid and husband, Jeremy, of Lonsdale, MN and Sarah Hofbauer and husband, Anthony, of Webster, MN; grandchildren, Desiree, Dustin, Kalem, Keegan, Breanna, Sabin, Jacob and McKenzie; brother, Steven Wicklum; and sister, Patricia McQuiston. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Church of St. Ann in Brandon. Reverend Father Matthew Crane was the celebrant. Casket bearers and honorary casket bearers included all the members of the Brandon Fire Department. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
