Reese Black

Reese Elizabeth Black was born on November 21, 2013 at 5:31 PM to Bryant and Meghan (Brazel) Black in Alexandria, Minnesota. She weighed 6lbs 8oz and was 19 � in. long. Reese was airlifted to Children?s Hospital in Minneapolis where she was diagnosed with a terminal illness. On Monday, December 2 the family brought her home to Alexandria. Reese died on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at her grandparents? home in Alexandria at the age of 2 weeks. She is survived by her parents, Bryant and Meghan Black of Hugo; grandparents, Steve and Becky Black of Alexandria and Bret and Karen Brazel of Alexandria; great-grandparents, Ron and Sandy Boys of Osakis, Darwin and JoAnn Black of Fairfax, and Richard and Sandy Telander of Alexandria; uncles, Mitchell (Kim) Brazel, Brett Brazel, uncle and Godfather, Bennett Black all of Alexandria; and family dog, Kato; and many other family and friends. Reese is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Kenneth and Lucille Brazel. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria with Reverend Greg Billberg officiating. Music was provided by organist, Randy Morken and soloist, Joel Quam. Interment was in Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria. Casket bearers were Reese?s uncles, Mitchell Brazel, Brett Brazel and Bennett Black. Honorary casket bearer was Hadley Vangsness. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria
