Renee Reinhardt

Renee Christine Reinhardt was born on December 18, 1959 in Rochester, MN, the adopted daughter of Dr. James and Frances (Kraemer) Reinhardt. She attended grade school in Alexandria and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1978. She continued her education at Alexandria Technical College and attained a Sales and Marketing degree. After college Renee married Kris Price on September 12, 1981 at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Together they lived in Alexandria and had three daughters Jennifer, Laura, and Megan. Renee became a paraprofessional in 1995 after her daughters began school and worked at Lincoln Elementary School in Alexandria for 7 years. Renee has since been employed at the Alexandria Target store as a department manager for the past 8 years. She loved her work and the friends she made there. She was a loving mother and a best friend to her daughters. She was the epitome of soccer moms. She attended every dance recital, soccer game, or band concert her daughters were involved in. She also was known to lovingly embarrass her daughters by doing a cartwheel at center court after a winning basketball game. Renee would put the girls? hair in curlers while they were sleeping, making sure to not wake them so they were ready for a dance recital. Renee frequently sang the comforting song ?You Are My Sunshine? to her girls to show her enduring love for them. Renee recently had special moments with her daughters. She enjoyed her first Vikings game, Twins game, and a Rascal Flatts concert. She had the mother?s honor of helping Jennifer pick out her wedding dress. Renee will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Renee C. Reinhardt died on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria at the age of 50 years old. Renee is survived by her daughters Jennifer Price (fianc� Koel Stave) of Thornton, CO; Laura Price of Alexandria; Megan Price of Moorhead, MN; brother Peter Reinhardt of Fargo, ND; sister Nancy (Marc) Godfrey of Alexandria; step sisters Joan (Byron) Nelson of Fargo, ND; Julie Nelson of Owatonna, MN; step father Merle Westerfeld of Sun City Center, FL; former spouse Kris Price of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Jason Reinhardt. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 8, 2010 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria with the Reverend Mark Astrup officiating. Interment was in the Kinkead Cemetery. Casket Bearers were Kris Price, Peter Reinhardt, Justin Godfrey, Jonathan Godfrey, Koel Stave, and Ryan Timm. Honorary Casket Bearers were the Alexandria Target employees.
