In loving memory of Richard Steven Johnson, who passed away at his home on July 1, 2024. Rick was born on July 6, 1969 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Charles "Chas" and Shirley "Shirls" Johnson.
Rick grew up in Little Canada, Minnesota and graduated from Roseville High School in 1987. He later settled in Woodbury, Minnesota before eventually moving to Alexandria, Minnesota where he spent his recent years.
Rick leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. He was a proud father to his two precious daughters Stella and Addy whom he loved deeply. Rick was a selfless father that prioritized their happiness above all else and treasured every moment with them.
Throughout his life, Rick had a profound appreciation for history, enjoyed books, museums and took immense pride in the American flag. Alongside these interests, he found joy in activities such as fishing, watching sports, card games, puzzles and trivia. Notably frugal when it came to himself, Rick was generous towards those he cared about.
Rick had many interests throughout his life including the sports of hockey, baseball, football and golf. He loved bargains. Whether this was going to garage sales, thrift stores or taking his daughters to the Dollar Tree just to pass time. Rick liked getting these deals for himself but spared no expense when it came to spoiling his loved ones.
Rick's circle of family and friends extends beyond boundaries. He is survived by his daughters Stella and Addy, their mother Sue, sister Candy (Jay) Basel, nieces Katie and Nikki and nephew Jason. His dog and best buddy Riley along with numerous relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Proceeding him in death were his parents Charlie and Shirley Johnson as well as his cherished dog Norman.
A visitation to honor Rick's life will take place at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home in Roseville, MN on July 8, 2024 beginning at 11:00am followed by a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 12:00 at the same location. The interment will follow at Saint John's Cemetery in Little Canada to lay Rick to rest.
