Robert Gerard

Robert “Bob” Gerard was born on October 3, 1963, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Jerome and Margaret (Lee) Gerard. He attended and graduated from Minneapolis South High School and furthered his education at Northwest Electronics Institute.
After his schooling he worked for the US Postal Service as a Postal Clerk. Bob was united in marriage to Leanne Mattson on October 3, 1994 in Las Vegas. In the mid 1990’s Bob moved to Alexandria. He was loved by everyone here and was known as the “music man” at several places in town.
He also enjoyed deer hunting and playing cards.
Bob died on Saturday, April 11, 2015. He is survived by his brother, Tom (Holly) of Alexandria, Paul of Shakopee; sister, Catherine “Cathy” Johnson of St. Cloud; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lee; parents: Jerry & Peggy; sister-in-law, Karen.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015, 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. John Martinson officiating. Private family burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery French Lake, Minnesota. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
