OBITUARY
Robert (Bob) Frederick Schulze died at his home, surrounded by his family, on June 13, 2015, at the age of 65. Bob, the son of Warren and Angela Schulze, was born May 27, 1950, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Bob was the youngest of four children.
Bob enjoyed many things in life but he was a builder at heart!
Bob’s love of building began with model airplanes. It started him on a road that took him to creating a successful business. His other interests as a youngster included fishing, music and golf. He fished whenever he could, he played guitar and sang in his own band in high school and he learned how to play golf.
In 1972, Bob married Linda Christensen and two children were born – Andrew and Melissa. They lived in Arizona and eventually Bob came back to Minnesota to begin his company. He started in a garage and from there created Phoenix Fixtures.
In 1997, Bob married Linda Bergherr (Randt). Bob and Linn made their home on Lake Miltona at Alexandria, Minnesota – a home that Bob built and was continually adding and improving upon. He was exceptionally proud of their home. Bob spent every day improving their home and gardens and they spent every evening they could – fishing!! Phoenix Fixtures was very successful and Bob was proud of his accomplishments. Bob and Linn started to divide their life between California in the winter and Minnesota in the summer. In California they golfed – Bob would sing in the band at the club and would remodel each home where they lived. He also spent a lot of time helping friends with their remodel projects. Bob was known as Mr. Social! He was always welcoming people into their home – entertaining and the welcoming committee at the club. Bob will be missed by many!
