Robert F. VanBeek Robert F. VanBeek was born November 5, 1957, in Alexandria to Jack and Dorothy (Lien) VanBeck. Robert graduated from Jefferson High School in 1975, and then attended Moorhead State University, where he graduated with a B. S. in Psychology. He worked for Restoration Technologies in Felton, MN. Robert lived life to the fullest, and was known for his sunny smile and goofball personality. He loved the lake and hanging out with friends and family. Robert was an avid reader. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy, Brooten, MN; one brother, Dr. Jerry (Connie) VanBeck, Eagan, MN; two sisters, Michelle (Rollie) Beach, Moorhead, MN; and Linda Wigdahl, Vadnais Heights, MN. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews: Rolly (Dena) Beach, Dan (Kim) Beach and Angela (Troy) Bagne, all of Moorhead, and Laura, Jenna, and Kellie VanBeck, Eagan MN; six great-nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles, including Sam VanBeek, Alexandria. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and his great-nephew, Daniel Beach II. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Felton, MN with the Reverend Karla Mickelson officiating. Cammie Sorenson played the organ and Dan Murphy was the soloist. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Casket Bearers were Rolly Beach III, Daniel Beach, Mark Flath, Larry Kalina, Dennis Olsen, and Dawn Iverson. Honorary Casket Bearers were Angela Bagne, Laura VanBeck, Jenna VanBeck, Kellie VanBeck, and all of Robert?s friends.
