Rodney "Bumper" Harold Lee

Rodney Harold "Bumper" Lee was born on August 3, 1944, the fourth child of Oscar Lee and Syneva Olson Lee. He attended school in Brainerd, MN and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1962. He went on to work for the railroad as an electrician until finding his real love in automotive sales. He worked for several Brainerd dealerships before becoming an entrepreneur himself, having bought a dealership in Alexandria, MN which he proudly named Lee Motors. Lee Motors was a successful dealership selling GMC, Pontiac, Buick, and Oldsmobile for over 40 years. In 1987, he married Kathryn Aga Drew and together they adopted a son, Bumper's pride and joy, Andrew Lee. Aside from family, Bumper's main passions were flying, motorcycle riding, trap shooting, and golf.

A true lover of people and animals, Bumper loved his own pets and felt passionate about supporting causes to improve animal welfare. He was also a very involved member of the community in Alexandria and greater Minnesota, having been a long term fixture of the AA chapter of Alexandria, Minnesota and a host of other organizations near and dear to his heart. His loss is felt across Minnesota, but he is survived by his beloved nieces, nephews, his sister Lois (Bill Krump), his Aunt Mary Olson, and his son Andrew Lee (Kim Napoline). 

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 4:00 PM.  Visitation will continue on Saturday, October 29, 2022, 1:30 - 2:30 PM at Calvary Lutheran Church with a Memorial Service at 2:30 PM.  Full obituary to follow.  Memorials preferred to Lakes Area Humane Society or donors choice.
