Rodney Jon Jobe was born on July 8th, 1969, to Paul and Maedeen (Affeldt) Jobe. Rodney graduated from Jefferson High School of Alexandria in 1990. He was in the Army National Guard for four years. He was employed by Crosstown Auto for 17 years and drove Taxi for Midwest Taxi. He liked to bow hunt on his Dad's farm and will be remembered for always being willing to help people when they were in need.
Rodney passed away unexpectedly in his home on April 29th, 2017. He was a tissue and a bone donor which will help many people. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maedeen Jobe; grandparents, Oscar and Esther Jobe and Walter and Frances Affeldt. Rodney is survived by his three daughters, Lexa (Ryan) Krenz, Christa, and Kaci; former stepdaughter, Janae (Philip Staab) Ascheman and Paige, Abigail and Jasmine; grandchildren, Vincent and Mia Krenz, Alana Staab; parents, Paul (Gladys) Jobe brother, Stephen (Cary) Jobe; sister, Kristine (Christopher) Monson; step brothers, Michael (Sharmin) Scofield and Daniel Scofield; niece, Katie Jobe; nephew, Dalton Jobe; special friend, Tina Eddy; k-9 companion, Buck; and many other friends. Blessed be his memory.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
