OBITUARY Roger Olaf Myrin was born on February 25, 1936 in Alexandria, the son of Harry and Mildred (Christopherson) Myrin. He was baptized at Lake Chippewa Covenant Church and confirmed at Augustana Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. Roger?s father died when he was seven years old and the family moved to Minneapolis where he attended school. He went into the drywall business in 1953 and in 1958 he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He spent most of his two years in the service in Germany. Roger returned to Garfield in 1979 and started farming and a drywall business. Roger O. Myrin died on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Bethany Home in Alexandria at the age of 74 years old. He is survived by his brother Chuck and Gloria Myrin of Alexandria; sister-in-law Yvonne Myrin of Garfield; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Duane Myrin. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Shawn Ethridge officiating. Mertice Brueske was the organist and Becky Myrin was the soloist. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery near Garfield, MN. Casket Bearers were Chuck Myrin Jr., Rob Myrin, John Myrin, Harry Myrin, Luke Christopherson, Ben Leupke, and Matthew Gustafson.
