Rollin "Bud" Schuhmacher was born on February 28, 1940, in Alexandria, Minnesota the son of Martin and Jessie (Lemke) Schuhmacher. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria. He was the last class to graduate from Central High School in Alexandria in 1958.
Rollin was united in marriage to Arlene Dyrud on October 27, 1962, at Zion Lutheran Church. To this union three children were born. Bud drove truck for Nelson Creamery for most of his life. In his spare time he enjoyed crafts – making bird houses, gardening, collecting rocks, making syrup, fishing, hunting and decorating outside at Christmas with beautiful lights and a homemade manager scene.
Bud died on Thursday, February 9, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Arlene; three children: Roger of Alexandria, Sandy O'Keefe & fiance' Tom Leuthner of Battle Lake, Bradley of Osakis; four grandchildren: Madison & Breydin O'Keefe, Reed & Brady Leuthner; sister, Janet (Rudy) Beilke; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Jessie; brother, Donovan and sister, Eunice Seppanen.
Funeral services were held on Monday, February 13, 2017, 11:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Burial was at the Nelson Cemetery.
