Ronald Kenneth Domschot was born on August 29, 1944, in Little Falls, Minnesota the son of Ernest and Ella Mae (Worlie) Domschot. The family moved to Hutchinson where Ron attended school and was on the track and football team. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1962. He furthered his education at Mankato State where he received his Bachelors and Masters Degree in History and Political Science.
In 1967, Ron was united in marriage to Glee Dunning. The couple moved to Alma, Wisconsin where he taught for one year before moving to Redwood Falls, MN. Ron loved teaching and coaching. He especially appreciated the bond between the teachers.
In 1974, the family moved to Alexandria where Ron continued teaching and coaching football and track. He had a special relationship with his students who affectionately would call him “Dommer”.
During the summers Ron worked as a crop adjuster and enjoyed visiting and working with the farmers. In 2001, he retired but still kept busy as a volunteer with the Food Shelf and other projects. Ron enjoyed deer hunting with Greg and his annual spring training trips with his good high school buddies.
Ron was very proud of his two children: Shelly & Mark. He admired their love of teaching like his own and what wonderful parents they were to their children.
He also enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting events and attending Minnesota Gopher football and hockey games with Glee and other family and friends. The family always looked forward to their annual trip to Puerto Morales where Ron enjoyed snorkeling with the grandchildren.
Ron died on Monday, February 9, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Glee; Daughter, Shelly Smith of Sartell, Mark (Katy) of White Bear Lake; grandchildren: Matthew, Dylan, Tanner, Travis, Talia, Lauren; sisters: LeeAnn (Van) Karg, Linda (Brian) Felska, Carol (Ed)

He was preceded in death by his parents.
