Ronald Frederick Carlson

Ronald Carlson was born on November 12, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Gosta and Juliette (Dedrick) Carlson.  During his childhood, they moved to Southern California.

On January 16, 1949, Ron was married to Dorothy Cawelti.  The couple settled in the rural town of Lakeview Terrace, CA, where they lived for 48 years and raised five children.  They were married for 57 years prior to her death in 2006.

His life was dedicated to his wife, raising his children and being active in his church.  He had a natural athletic ability and loved to play baseball, golf and watersports, to name a few.  After he retired, Ron and Dorothy moved to Lake Rachel in Farwell, Minnesota, where they loved fishing, boating and relaxing while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Ron passed away on March 13, 2024, at Alomere Health.  He is survived by sons:  Michael (Maureen) Carlson of Lancaster, CA, Reed (Yvette) Carlson of Alexandria, MN, James Carlson of Glenwood, MN; daughters:  Terry (Max) Convis of Henderson, NV, Anna Carlson of Sunland, CA; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
