Ronald Ferguson, age 78, of Alexandria, died Sunday, May 24, 2015. A funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the New Life Christian Church in Alexandria. Interment will follow in the Lake Ida Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home.
OBITUARY
Ronald Lewis Ferguson, age 78, of Alexandria, MN, was born in Lake Park, IA during the great depression in September 1936. Ron was a Christian with the love of Christ in his heart. He passed from this earth and entered the gates of heaven into the loving arms of his Lord Jesus on May 24, 2015 due to cancer.
Ronald was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nellie and Walter Ferguson; his wife and mother of his children, Ruth; sons, Terry and infant Tracy; and brothers, Edward and Elmer.
Ronald is survived by sons, Tim Ferguson and wife, Jean, Tony Ferguson and wife, Patti, and Todd Ferguson and wife, Chin; daughter-in-law, Anita Ferguson; brothers, Nile Ferguson and wife, Verna and Harold Ferguson; sisters, Ila Nelson and husband, Jim, and Ione Tigner; companion, Bette Angen; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many friends and family members.
Ron was a mechanic and entrepreneur operating a farm and small businesses. A proud and private man, he enjoyed attending auctions, collecting various items and tinkering in his workshop. He loved the peaceful serenity of his farm and pampering his dachshunds. With all of his life’s accomplishments, he was most proud of his sons.
A funeral service will be held at New Life Christian Church at 1910 Co Rd 82 SE, Alexandria, MN at 11:30am on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Visitation will begin at 10:30am at the church.
