Ronald McNutt

March 9, 1937 — June 12, 2012

OBITUARY Ronald Clair McNutt March 9, 1937 - June 12, 2012. After a long battle with lung cancer, Ron passed away peacefully at his home in Alexandria Minnesota surrounded by his loving wife Judy and sons Brian and David. Ron was born in Conneaut, Ohio. He grew up in Indiana and attended high school in Frankfort. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Ron worked in electronics repair in the late 50's thru the 80's. He was an avid handyman and also worked as a mechanic for many years. He lived in many other states throughout his life and spent his last 25 years in his favorite state of Minnesota. He also owned and operated businesses with his wife around Alexandria in the 90's. He was one of 8 children born to late Robert and Ellen (Robbins) McNutt and was the beloved husband of Judy McNutt for over 40 years. Surviving are his two sons Brian (Shannon) McNutt of Alexandria and David McNutt of Alexandria; four sisters Carol Arman, Faye McNutt, Ellen Lois Kramer and Pat Dykty. Also surviving are many other nieces and nephews whom were blessed to know him. Ron was preceded in death by his brothers Doug and Robert Jr. and sister Joyce Byrne. Ron absolutely loved fishing. It was his passion in life and would often compete in bass tournaments with his two sons and his special friend, Doug. Getting up at 4 am was no match for this competitor. He was always searching for that sowbelly bass. Ron touched the lives of many people with his unique and slapjack sense of humor. He had no problem finding ways to make people laugh. A Private Family Memorial Service was held at the Anderson Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.andersonfuneral.net
