Rose Peterson, age 83, of Alexandria, formerly of Barron, WI, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Prairie Senior Cottages in Alexandria. Rosella Pearl was born on April 12, 1927, in Barron, Wisconsin. She lived in Poskin until she was united in marriage on October 19, 1927, to Kenneth Peterson. The couple later moved to Minnesota where they raised their four children. Rose was a very fun and caring person, she loved to make people laugh and smile or even blush sometimes by telling one of her many rhymes or by singing you a song or two. Her favorite thing was to have family over to cook for and play a few games of cards. She is survived by her son, Doug (Ann) Peterson of Dalbo, MN; daughters: Debbie (Terry) Loeffler of Alexandria, MN, Beva (Orville) LaGue of Greenfield, MN; sisters, Linda (Harlen) Dahlberg of Poskin, WI, Beverly Nyht of Glenrock, WY; eight grandchildren: Russell LaGue, Brian LaGue, Michael Peterson, Anna Peterson, Heather Cowles, Brendan Peterson, Lucas Loeffler Danielle Frank; six great grandchildren: Shephany, Kaitlyn, Cory, Adam, Casey, Maya. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents, infant twin sons, son, Michael Peterson. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 3, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Burial was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis
