Rose Marie (Sanvik) Schneiderhan was born to Andrew and Rosa (Haack) Sanvik on November 8, 1933, in Starbuck, Minnesota. She enjoyed playing bridge, volunteering at the library and will be remembered as a hardworking, funny, friendly, kind, warm hearted woman who loved to spend time with her family and particularly her grandchildren. She adored every one of them right up to the moment of her passing.
Rose was a graduate of St. Cloud School of Nursing and was united in marriage to Tony Schneiderhan in 1955 in Alexandria. After receiving her registered nursing degree, Rose spent the majority of her life managing the Schneiderhan household and being a loving mother.
Rose passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Alomere Health surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her four children, David (Julie), Cathy (Mark) Schiefer, Dan (Kelly), and Joe (Kiki); eight grandchildren, Danielle Schiefer, Jennifer (Cory) Bivona, Ellen (Nate) Borgen, Anne Schneiderhan, Sam Schneiderhan, Adam Schneiderhan, Evan Schneiderhan, and Nate Schneiderhan; three great-grandchildren, Anthony Bivona, Charlie Borgen, and Finn Borgen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2019, at the Church of St. Mary in Alexandria with Reverend Steve Binsfeld officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM with Parish Prayers at 5 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2019 , at the Anderson Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Entombent will be at the St. Mary Mausoleum with Sam Schneiderhan, Adam Schneiderhan, Evan Schneiderhan, Nate Schneiderhan, Nate Borgen, and Rob Sanvik serving as Casket Bearers. A Celebration of Rose’s Life will be at the Alexandria Golf Club from 3:30 – 6 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Mary’s Catholic School.
