Rowlina Weigle

Rowlina Ann Weigle was born on April 22, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio to Adolph and May (Cejka) Pekarek. She graduated from Cleveland City School in 1941. She received her BA Degree in 1945 from Flora Stone Mather College in Cleveland, OH.
Rowlina married Wilber Weigle on December 1, 1945 at the Community Lutheran Church in Hinkley, OH. To this union, the couple was blessed with three children. Rowlina taught high school science classes in Ohio and Remer, MN. The couple moved to Alexandria in 1982 and she taught science classes for the nursing program at Alexandria Technical College. Rowlina enjoyed gardening and anything outdoors. She loved animals and loved living on the farm where she sold garden produce and was still raising livestock.
Rowlina died on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Galeon in Osakis at the age of 92. She is survived by her son Dwayne (Diane) Weigle of Alexandria; daughter, Denise (Brian) Junkermeier of Richmond; daughter-in-law, Patty Weigle of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Emily (Brett) Howell, Nathan (Brittney) Weigle, Shawna Weigle, Drew Weigle (Erin), and Dana Weigle (fiancé, Jason). Rowlina is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; son, Dwight Weigle; and parents, Adolph and May.
A private interment is scheduled at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
