Sandie Anderson was born December 29, 1957 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Marv and Joyce (Schwader) Slama. She was confirmed at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Sandie attended Delano High School and University of Minnesota for college and graduate school.
Sandie was most proud of her family. She married Dan Anderson at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church on June 9, 1979. They moved to Hillsboro, Wisconsin, and then returned to his hometown of Brandon, Minnesota. In April 1992, they welcomed twins, Tom and Becky. Her family could not have had a better wife and mother.
For 30 years, Sandie was a caregiver for people with disabilities. When she wasn't at work, she enjoyed going for bike rides with Dan, fishing with Tom, and cooking with Becky. She also enjoyed working in her garden, raising her chickens, and reading.
Sandie is survived by her husband, Dan, and her children Tom and Becky.She is also survived by her brother Steve, her sister, Laurel, niece Katie, and nephew Matt, and many beloved friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marv and Joyce, and her parents-in-law, Nell and Les Anderson.
Sandra Kay Anderson, age 61 of Brandon, MN, died on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at her home with her family by her side.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Brandon, MN.
A visitation will take place on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 5-7 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home and also for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Her family would like to thank the Masonic Cancer Center for their wonderful care. Donations to the Masonic Cancer Center or Hope Lodge Minneapolis are appreciated.
