Sandra Triplett

Sandra Jo "Sam" (Nee Yund) Triplett of Alexandria, MN (formerly Crystal) passed away peacefully in her sleep after a very long and courageous battle with multiple health issues. Sandra Jo "Sam" Triplett was born on November 14, 1956, one of two children to Charles and Lorraine (Hartong) Yund of Crystal, Minnesota. Sam was welcomed home by her big "bother" Steve, who ended up being one of her best friends. After high school Sam attended college and later started working in the human resources field, working for Honeywell, Target and most recently as Vice-President for American Solutions for Business. Sam often spoke of co-workers as being more like family and she strived to put the humanities back into the profession. In 1979, Sam met her soul mate, Denny Triplett. Together, the couple lived life to their fullest! Enjoying every day with Denny and their time with the girls, Julie, Kellie, Wendie and Carrie.

Sam was known to all for her quick wit, sunny smile, giving nature and GREAT cooking. She was the ultimate planner and a take charge kind of woman. Once she set her heart to something there was nothing she couldn't accomplish. Helping others was Sam's passion! She enjoyed taking care of others and was a true servant. Words cannot express the deep sorrow we all feel in her passing. We take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her husband Denny and loving feline friends. A special thanks to Knute Nelson Care Center and Hospice for the genuine care, respect and comfort you gave to her and her family during the last weeks of her life.

Prior to her passing on July 3, 2016 at the age of 59, Sam let her family know that everything would be okay. She is preceded in death by her husband Denny who stood by her side, always offering her a glimmer of hope; parents, Charlie and Lorraine Yund. She is survived by and deeply missed by her daughters, Julie (Tom) Anderson of Hastings, Kellie (Eric) Champion of North Branch, Wendie (David) VanKirk of Leaf Valley, and Carrie (Adrian) Thompson of Miltona; grandchildren, Anthony Sly, Michael Sly (girlfriend Mel), Christian, Sonja, and Rylee Thompson, Ryan (Nicky) Sly as well as great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jaden, John Jr., Cloe and Deklen; brother Steve (Cindy) Yund of Isanti; nieces and nephews: Nick (partner Noah) Yund, Danielle (Mark) Bell and their girls, goddaughter, Brianna Yund (partner Adam), Cayla (Wade) Blucker.

A celebration of life service took place on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
