Savina Casselberry

Savina Nannette (Thorson) Casselberry was born on December 17, 1951, in Alexandria, MN the daughter of Einar and Gladys (Winge) Thorson. She was a graduate of Jefferson Senior High School in Alexandria and furthered her education in the Twin Cities and worked as a Nail Technician in St. Paul. She loved pampering people and making them feel beautiful. She would always say ?put your lips on ladies?. She will be remembered for her feisty, sassy, life of the party personality. Savina enjoyed shopping, dancing, Motown Music, jewelry. She is a woman of faith, grace, strength, independence and love. Savina died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in the loving arms of Nancy & Carla who took amazing care of our mom until her final breath. She is survived by her children: Ricky Bartels, Teri Brandt, Porcia Casselberry, Chayce Casselberry; grandchildren: Alexander, Mason, Julia, Blake, Lucas, Davion, Gianni; brother, Edward Thorson & sisters: Karen Ziesemer, Juanita Freier, Sherry Norlien. She was preceded in death by her parents: Einar & Gladys, brothers & sisters: Charles, Phyllis (Thorson) Hjelm, Ferdelle, Roger; nephew, Troy. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke?s Lutheran Church in Garfield. Burial will be at St. Luke?s Cemetery.
