Scott Lee Suppes, born on August 1, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away of natural causes at his home on December 7, 2024. He was 68 years old. Scott was lovingly adopted by Fred and Alice Suppes, who have both preceded him in death.
Scott spent his formative years in Schaumburg, Illinois, attended Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois, and then resided for a time in Marengo, Illinois. In 1997, Scott moved with his father to a home on Lake Mary where he continued to enjoy lake life. Known for his youthful spirit, Scott was a beloved figure in his community, often seen riding his bicycle with a friendly wave to neighbors. His love for life was evident in his passion for basketball, pinball, shooting pool and playing video games, especially with his cherished nieces and nephews.
Despite facing disabilities, Scott embraced life with a courageous and adventurous spirit, always willing to "try everything once." His positive outlook and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Scott is survived by his brother, George Suppes, and sister-in-law, Deb Suppes. He leaves behind a loving family, including his nephew, Joshua Suppes, and nieces, Kelsie Ashleson and Erin Devich. His legacy continues through his great-nieces and nephews, Presley Ashleson, Ford Ashleson, Navy Ashleson, and Jaylen Devich, who will fondly remember their times spent with their playful and kind-hearted uncle.
A visitation to honor Scott's life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, Minnesota. Family, friends, and all whose lives Scott touched are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man who brought joy and warmth to those around him.
Scott leaves behind countless fond memories that will not be forgotten. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he shared will forever resonate in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, dear Scott; you will always be remembered with love and affection.
