Sharon Louise Muzik, born on October 8, 1942, in Alexandria, MN, peacefully departed this world on February 14, 2025. A true war baby, Sharon was shaped by the spirit of resilience and community that defined her upbringing. She graduated from Central High School in 1960 before embarking on a fulfilling career in nursing, earning her RN degree from Nursing School in St. Paul, MN.

Returning to Alexandria, she dedicated her life to raising her beloved daughter, Jodi. Sharon loved to travel with Jodi. Once they traveled around the Great Lakes for three weeks. They also visited many other western states through the years. Sharon poured her heart into her work at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital and later at Douglas County Hospital, where she spent the majority of her career in Pediatrics. She cherished the little ones she cared for, treating them with kindness and compassion that will be remembered by everyone who knew her.

After retiring in 2004, Sharon turned her nurturing instincts towards her beloved pets, spending her days surrounded by the love of dogs and cats. An avid animal lover, she filled her home with figurines reflecting her passion. In quieter moments, she found joy in cross-stitching, reading, watching birds at her feeders, and passionately following football. Sundays were sacred; she'd tune into the Red Zone, meticulously keeping track of scores and stats for her favorite teams.

Sharon's greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her loving daughter Jodi (Jeff) Bjugan and her grandson Michael Clark of Vining. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Jean Dockendorf, and brother Richard "Dick" Hedstrom.

Though she may no longer be with us, Sharon Louise Muzik will forever live on in our hearts and memories.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 11AM with a Nightingale Tribute at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Alexandria, MN.

A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the Anderson Funeral Home on Friday.

Interment will be in the Oscar Lake Cemetery near Holmes City, MN.
