Sharon Trisco

Sharon Jean Trisco, the daughter of James and Madeline (Hines) Lewis, was born on December 24, 1939 in Barnesville, MN.  Sharon graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1957.  On June 3, 1958, Sharon was united in marriage to William Trisco in Sauk Centre, MN. To this union three children were born Scott, Shelley, and Stephanie.  Together they raised their family in New Hope and Elk River, MN before moving to Big Lake, MN in 2000.  In 2012, Sharon moved to Alexandria to be closer to her daughter Stephanie.

Sharon stayed at home to raise her children and when they became teenagers, she began driving a school bus route in Elk River, MN.  She loved canning, gardening and especially fishing.  Sharon was known to drop a line or two between bus routes.  She also enjoyed helping Bill process wild game.  Bill and Sharon worked together every year during hunting season processing deer, elk, and bear in their garage.

Family was always important to Sharon.  With her husband, she planned yearly family vacations, traveling to almost every state.  Sharon was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be forever in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her.

Sharon J. Trisco died on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Douglas County Hospital at the age of 78 years old.  She is survived by her son, Scott Trisco of Big Lake; daughters, Shelley Bloom of Big Lake and Stephanie (Tom) Golden of Alexandria; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Ken) Hedland, Deborah Kolding, and Becky (Terry) Ressler; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Trisco; parents; brothers, Rodney Lewis and Everett Lewis; and a sister Bonnie Mathison.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday.

Interment will be in the Kinkead Columbarium.
