SHERYL KRICK Sheryl Marie (Crowley) Krick was born on March 13, 1959, in Slayton, Minnesota the daughter of Joe and Ruth (Kirpes) Crowley. Sheryl grew up and graduated from Slayton High School in 1977. Sheryl was united in marriage to Darwin Krick in June of 1977 in Slayton. To this union two children were born: Trisha and Jesse. The family made their home in Slayton until 1983 when they moved to the Alexandria area. Sheryl became an employee for Douglas County as a financial worker. Later, the family moved to a farm near Nelson where they raised sheep, calves and horses. Their home in the country was always full of activity with the dogs and cats, raising pigeons, and the busy life on the farm. People were always welcome to their home and were assured of having a good time together. Sheryl will be remembered for her love of riding horses, camping, and hanging out with friends and family. She would go out of her way to make events special for the people she loved. Sheryl was always thinking of others, always making them feel special. Sheryl died on Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis at the age of 51 years. Sheryl is survived by her husband, Darwin of Nelson; daughter, Trisha (and friend Nick Jalbert) of Alexandria; son, Jesse (fianc�, Kelly Sorenson and her daughter, Laura) of Albert Lea; five siblings Jim (Sharon) Crowley, Marlene Bayerkohler, Dale (Judy) Crowley, Carol (George) Scotting and Gary (Nancy) Crowley; mother-in-law Karna Krick; brother-in-law Terry (Susan) Krick; sisters-in-law Sheryl (Mike) March and Rona (Steve) Porter; and brother-in-law Dana (Rose) Krick; along with her nieces and nephews. Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Floyd Bayerkohler and father-in-law Norbert Krick. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, June 11, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Alexandria with Rev. Steve Binsfeld officiating. Interment was at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Belle River. Pallbearers were Dana Krick, Ben McCormick, Al Illg, Rich Hauschild, Warren Svor and Ray Kallstrom.
