Stanley Roger Pasche, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away at his home peacefully, on April 20, 2025, at the age of 76. Born the son of Reuben and Esther (Melchert) Pasche, on January 16, 1949, in Morris, Minnesota, Stan spent his early years in the Donnelly, MN area, where he graduated from Chokio-Alberta High School in 1969. Shortly after, he proudly served in the Minnesota National Guard and worked for Paul’s Wood Craft in Minneapolis.
In 1971, Stan met the love of his life, Marjorie Fragodt, on a blind date—an encounter that blossomed into a beautiful partnership. They were married on July 15, 1972, at West Bank Church in Danvers, Minnesota, and together they raised their two children, Laura and Aaron, after relocating to Alexandria in 1974. Over the years, Stan built three homes for his family—each filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
With a dedicated work ethic, Stan spent much of his life in the construction industry but also shared his entrepreneurial spirit as a co-owner of SCEID Fisheries in Garfield, Minnesota, and contributed to Operation Walleye. He had a special affection for the children he drove for 22 years as a bus driver for school district #206. His wife Marge was right there with him, riding the same bus as a para, making their time together even more special.
Stan was a true outdoorsman, reveling in fishing, hunting, and the serenity of nature. He was famous for his fish frys, expertly catching, cleaning, and frying fish for family and friends. Family gatherings during holidays were opportunities for Stan to showcase his culinary skills, especially his renowned ribs. He cherished campfires with loved ones, sharing stories and laughter under the stars.
Stan's love for his grandchildren was profound; he eagerly supported them in sports and shared his passion for fishing and hunting. He had a special fondness for Dulono’s Pizza, where he worked during his younger years, and always made it a point to indulge in a slice whenever he visited Minneapolis.
A dedicated member of Zion Lutheran Church, Stan took pride in ushering on Sundays, bringing joy and a welcoming presence to all who entered.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to Zion Quilters, in Stan's memory, reflecting his generous heart and commitment to his church.
Stan is survived by his loving wife of almost 53 years, Marge Pasche of Alexandria; son, Aaron (Kyra) Pasche of Champlin; daughter, Laura Hansen of Barrett; five grandchildren, Hailey (Bret) Duncan, Madison Hansen, Sophia Hansen, Peyton Hansen, and Evan Pasche; brothers, Dean (Mary) Pasche and Verlan (Donna) Pasche; sisters, Joyce (Gary) Raymond and Marlis Harstad; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Donna Swanson; sister-in-law, Barb Pasche; and brother-in-law, Gene Harstad.

A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
