Steve Munn

OBITUARY Stephen Paul Munn was born on March 3, 1951 in Fargo, ND, the son of Gerald and Mary (Winchell) Munn. He graduated from Fargo South High school in 1969 and continued his education at Detroit Lakes Area Vocational School graduating from the Sales and Marketing program. Steve married Elaine Soltess on September 22, 1973 in Detroit Lakes, MN. Together they had three sons Jason, Shon, and Michael. Steve had worked in the HVAC industry since he was 18 years old. He started by helping his father and then worked throughout Minnesota. He also worked in Fargo and then moved to Bismarck, ND where he lived for 18 years before moving to Alexandria, MN in 1999. Steve was very proud of his work in the industry and he was especially grateful for his employment with Ellingson Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical for the last 14 years. He enjoyed his time with Pat Ellingson and his co-workers. Steve was a loyal Viking and Twins fan. He and his wife loved Minnesota?s outdoor lifestyle and enjoyed everything it had to offer to the fullest. He liked to ride his Harley, go fishing and boating with his wife and golfing with his buddies, sons and grandson. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and larger than life smile. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Steve P. Munn died on Friday, December 20, 2013 at his home at the age of 62 years old. He is survived by his wife Elaine Munn of Alexandria; sons Jason (Lissa) Munn of Ontario, OR, Shon Munn of Alexandria and Michael Munn of Sauk Rapids, MN; grandchildren Levi and Sophia Munn of Ontario, OR; father Gerald (Evelyn) Munn of Eagan, MN; brother John (Jane) Munn of Woodbury, MN; sister Nancy Erdmann of Fargo, ND; step-brothers Dave (Margaret) Thompson of Eagan, MN and Brad (Carol) Thompson of New Braunfels TX, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Munn, sister Kathy Ekern and a brother Gary Munn. A Memorial Mass was held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Alexandria.
