Steven Todd Kraft, age 64 of Alexandria, MN, died on August 6, 2020 of a heart attack.Todd was born in the Worthington Regional Hospital on June 30, 1956 to Evangeline “Vannie” (Knudson) and Allan “Dup” Kraft. He grew up on the family farm in Brewster with his fivesiblings. After graduating from Brewster High School in 1974, he stayed in the area to help Dup run Omni Sports, the Honda motorcycle shop in Worthington. After the store closed, he moved to Coon Rapids, got his real estate license through Counselor Realty, and eventually specialized in foreclosure sales with Vannie as his first employee. Todd was able to save enough to close his real estate business and live out his dream retirement in a cabin on a lake. This was not just any lake but Lake Victoria in Alexandria, two doors down from the old family cabin.
Todd had numerous hobbies: Twins, Vikings, Gophers, Wild, Timberwolves, Star Trek (original series), poker, bridge, blackjack, HuckleyBuck, pool, fishing, hunting, ugly pickup trucks, shirts with pockets…The list goes on. All of that took a back seat to his family and friends. Todd had a huge heart, and he wore it on his sleeve. His love for his family and friends had no end. He treated his nieces, nephews, and godchildren like they were his own. He treated close friends as family. He treated strangers as friends. Life may not have dealt him the best of hands, but you can’t complain about the play.
Survivors include his five siblings; Douglas Kraft (Mary Adams) of Lindstrom, MN; Mary (Ron) Luitjens of Brewster, MN; David (Gwen) Kraft of Escondido, CA; Nona (Daniel) Bennett of Tecumseh, MI; and Daniel (Stephanie) Kraft of Brandon, SD; numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Evangeline and Allan.
