Steven Wayne Kuester

Steven Wayne Kuester was born on October 17, 1951 in Alexandria, MN, the son of Wayne and Helen (Peterson) Kuester. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church.

Steve graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969 and then moved to Florida to pursue a career in meat cutting. He worked in various meat departments including Martin’s, Winn Dixie, and the Osakis Locker. He eventually was employed with 3M where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 2011.

In that time, he was blessed with two daughters, Stephanie born in 1973 and Stacie born in 1975. He also married the love of his life, Becky Powers in May of 1990. With this union he gained a third daughter, Nicola who he loved as his own.

In his free time he enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycle, playing pool, and travel. One of his favorite adventures was a trip he and Becky took to the Black Hills and Deadwood with four of their best friends. Above all he valued his family and friends and when asked, was always willing to help.

Steve died on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the St.Cloud hospital surrounded by loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Becky; daughters, Stephanie Revering, Stacie (Art) Witschorik, and Nicola (Michael) Alama. Grandchildren: Brandon (Kayla) Watt, Emily Alama, Maddie, Wade, and Sam Revering,  Artie, Owen, and  Helena Witschorik, and great-grandson: Leo Watt. Brothers: Michael, Lonnie, and Joel Kuester, Sisters: Barb Terhark and Diane (Joe) Maus. Brothers-in-law: Kevin (Judy) Powers, Terry Powers, Jeff (Linda) Powers, and Todd (Deb) Powers. Sisters-in-law: Cari (Lonnie) Eddy and Susan Powers.

 Steve is also survived by several other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
