Susan Erickson

Susan Jean Erickson age 71 of Alexandria, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Knute Nelson Home. A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, with a visitation taking place one hour prior. Susan Jean (Froemming) Erickson was born on February 11,1946 in Alexandria, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and was graduated from high school at Central High School.

After high school Susan attended cosmetology school in St. Cloud and worked as a hairdresser and later as a certified nursing assistant.

Susan moved to Knute Nelson Home in 2006 following a period of disability. She lived there until her passing on November 5, 2017.

Susan throughout her life had a strong relationship with God and truly felt and lived the words to the song, “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”.

Susan is survived by her son, Eric Erickson of Moorhead, MN; and many cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Froemming; grandparents, Harry and Emma Gilsonite; aunt, Rosa Olson; many aunts and uncles.
