Sylvia Patricia (Moll) Lindstom was born on August 11, 1926, in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. She graduated in 1945 from Parkers Prairie High School. Sylvia lived on the Moll family farm and helped take care of her grandmother until she passed.
On November 17, 1954, Sylvia was united in marriage to Fred Lindstrom at a friend’s home in Parkers Prairie. To this union, the couple was blessed with five sons. Sylvia and Fred continued farming until 1984 when they retired, sold the farm and moved into Alexandria.
Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed canning vegetables and baking. She also enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, and knitting. Sylvia and Fred were long time members of the United Methodist Church in Alexandria. The couple spent countless hours visiting cemeteries, meeting with people who were related and traveling many miles all across Minnesota, into Wisconsin and the Dakotas.
Sylvia died on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Alex Assisted Living in Alexandria at the age of 91. She is survived by sons, Dean (Lori) Lindstrom of Alexandria, Steven Lindstrom of Alexandria and Harvey Lindstrom of Carlos; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Viola Larson of Alexandria; and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, William and Theresa; husband, Fred; and sons, Mark and Robert.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the United Methodist Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
