OBITUARY Tanner Anthony Hocum was born on November 30, 1989 in Burnsville, MN, the son of Anthony Hocum and Shelley (Hanson) Gilbertson. He graduated from Jefferson High School with the Class of 2008. Tanner enjoyed skateboarding and snowboarding, but his passion was music. He taught himself to play the piano and he also mastered the guitar, often recording songs and performing with his band, or just joining his friends to jam. Tanner's passion for music was perhaps only surpassed by his kindness and unconditional love for others. He got along with everyone, made people laugh, and especially liked hanging out with family and friends on the lake. Tanner was an incredible and talented person, a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will be deeply missed, but his creative spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who knew him. Tanner A. Hocum died on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the age of 21 years old.
