Ted Burgeson

OBITUARY Ted Norman Burgeson was born on September 13, 1933, to Lawrence W. and Jeanette Elmura (McCrillis) Burgeson in Remer, MN. Ted attended the Adventist Church School in Remer and also in Anoka, MN. He then graduated from Maplewood Academy in Hutchinson, MN in 1951. Ted entered the United States Army on March 2, 1953 and was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii. He worked at Tripler Army Hospital as a medical lab and X-ray technician. He was Honorably Discharged from the Army on June 3, 1956. Ted married Darlene Nancy Ytredal on June 3, 1956. Together they had three daughters and resided in Alexandria for the last 35 years. Ted spent the last five months of his life in Omaha, NE with his daughter Sandi. Ted loved his family, fishing, bowling and golfing in his younger years. Ted N. Burgeson died on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at his daughter?s home in Omaha, NE. He is survived by his daughters Sandra (David) Downing of Omaha, NE; Heidi (Craig) Hardel of Hutchinson, MN; and Tammera Hewitt of Alexandria; grandchildren Clint Downing, Luke Downing, and Andrea (Lance) Norsworthy; great grandchildren Lexis and Payton Norsworthy; brothers Lawrence (Karen) Burgeson; Donald (Lou) Burgeson; sister-in-law Mary Lou Burgeson; Shawn and Shelly Burgeson and host of family and friends. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Ted was preceded in death by his wife Darlene, parents Lawrence (Elmyra) Burgeson, sister Ruby Schmidt, and brothers Kenneth Burgeson and Clifford Burgeson. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Wayne Morrison officiating. Interment was in the Kinkead Cemetery. Casket Bearers were David Downing, Luke Downing, Craig Hardel, Lance Norsworthy, Michael Thompson, and Andrea Norsworthy.
