Theresa “Terry” Rinehart, age 65, of Osakis, formerly of Alexandria, died Thursday, August 20, 2015. A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM Thursday, August 27, at the Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato. Interment will follow at Woodland Hills Cemetery in Mankato.
OBITUARY
Theresa Ann Lyons was born September 3, 1949 in Mankato, MN, the daughter of Stanley and Frances (Ruch) Lyons. Terry grew up in Mankato where she attended Holy Rosary Elementary school and completed high school at Good Counsel Academy. Terry continued her education at Mankato State.
Terry was married in 1969 and was blessed with two children, Kara and Kalli. She lived in Mountain Lake, Lake Crystal and then back to Mankato before moving to Mason City, IA. In 1990 Terry moved to Alexandria, MN where she purchased and operated the Timber Lane Resort. Terry also began working at Community State Bank which later became Norwest and then Wells Fargo Bank. She worked in all aspects of banking as a banker, teller, a receptionist and in customer service. Terry retired from Wells Fargo in 2014.
Terry liked the outdoors; she liked watching the birds and wildlife come and go through her yard. Terry enjoyed gardening and canning her produce; she spent several vacations harvesting and canning. Terry kept her family and friends well stocked with produce and, when the need arose, would put together a care package of canned goods for those in need. Helping others was important to Terry. She was involved in Relay for Life, the American Cancer Society and helped the veterans with their poppy sales drive among other things. Terry also was able to give the gift of life as an organ donor. Terry greatly enjoyed the time she could spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren
On Thursday, August 20, 2015 Terry died at the age of sixty-five years. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Lyons; daughter, Kalli Kliewer; and sister-in-law, Lorene Lyons. Terry is survived by her partner, Kenneth Hvezda of Osakis; mother, Frances Lyons of Cleveland, MN; daughter, Kara Kliewer and partner, Mike Pearson, of Alexandria; grandchildren, Jordan Kliewer and Danika Torres; great grandchildren, Bryson Kliewer and Declan Paulzine; sisters, Karen Krenik and husband, Gregory, of LeCenter, MN, Jeanne Queen and husband, Andy, of Cleveland, Debra Schmidt and husband, Scott, of Cleveland and Peggy Ziesmer and husband, Lon, of Glenwood, MN; brothers, Chuck Lyons and partner, Jeanette Kromer, of Mankato, Kevin Lyons and partner, Renae Alland, of Shakopee, MN, Jeff Lyons of Cleveland and Dennis Lyons of Cleveland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN... Reverend Father Steve Binsfeld will officiate. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1:30 to 6 PM Tuesday. Additional visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Thursday, August 27, at the Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato. Interment in Woodland Hills Cemetery will be 10 AM Friday August 28.
