Thomas Lynn Boesch, born on May 30, 1947, in Winnebago, Minnesota, bid farewell to this world on May 25, 2024, in Alexandria, Minnesota. He was a man of many talents and passions that colored his 76 years of life.
Tom's journey was one of dedication and hard work. He embarked on a 34-year career at 3M, where he poured his efforts and skills into his work each day. Simultaneously he nurtured the land for 28 fruitful years as a farmer outside Brandon, Minnesota. His commitment to both endeavors was exemplary and inspirational.
Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Tom had a way of brightening any room he entered. His love for engaging with others made him a cherished figure in his community. Whether through his jokes or heartfelt conversations, Tom touched the lives of many.
In his leisure time, Tom found joy in various activities that spoke to his adventurous spirit. An avid hunter and civil war reenactor, he enjoyed immersing himself in history and the great outdoors. He also delighted in visiting with the Moe Township neighbors and tending to his vegetable garden. Observing the birds flock to his feeders brought him peaceful moments close to nature.
Tom's commitment to his family was unwavering throughout his lifetime. He held them dear above all else and cherished every moment spent with them.
As the years passed, Tom's faith deepened, bringing him solace and anticipation to reunite with his Lord in eternal peace.
In honor of Tom's military service, it is noted that he joined the Air Force on April 4th, 1966, serving with dedication and loyalty.
Those who have gone before him await Tom's arrival on another shore – including his parents Richard and Olinda Boesch, as well as Ellsworth and Irma Nelson (his wife's parents), two brothers, two sisters, ten brothers-in-law, and six sisters-in-law.
Left behind to cherish precious memories are Tom's beloved wife Linda Boesch; their children: Tamara (Jared) Lund, Timothy (Paula) Boesch, and NaTausha (Donnie) Seest; along with nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren whose lives were enriched by his presence. In addition, Tom is survived by his brother James (Marian) Boesch; sisters Judy Gollwitzer and Kathy (Garland) Hendricksen; sisters-in-law Deanna Cole and Ann Nelson; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his comrades from the Air Force who were like family to him.
A visitation is scheduled at Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory in Alexandria on May 31st from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM – an opportunity for all who knew Tom to come together in remembrance.
Thomas Lynn Boesch leaves behind a legacy of laughter, hard work, faithfulness, and love that will echo through the hearts of those who knew him for years to come. May he rest in eternal peace until we meet again.
