Thomas Reineke

Thomas Conrad Reineke was born on November 18, 1938, in Clarissa, Minnesota the son of Daniel and Ruth (Grauman) Reineke. He graduated from Clarissa High School in 1956. He then served in the Navy prior to attending the University of Minnesota School of Pharmacy. After receiving his degree he worked as a Pharmacist at several hospitals in the Twin Cities area. It was during this time that he met Priscilla Elaine Albrecht. Tom and Priscilla were united in marriage on September 20, 1969, in Montevideo, Minnesota. The couple moved to Alexandria in 1971 where Tom continued his work as a pharmacist for 35 years before retirement. Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who lead by example. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, horses, and hunting and fishing with his sons. Tom will be remembered for his gentle spirit, humble heart, positive attitude and his ability to always see the best in people. Thomas died on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; two sons: Matthew & wife, Tiffany of St. Michael; Mark & wife, Amy of Alexandria; four grandchildren: Abigail, Lucas, Emma, & Erik; brother, Duane & wife, Win of Northridge, CA, three sisters: Marge & husband, Phil Pinewski of Anoka, MN, Ethel Dezell of Staples, MN, Alice & husband, Lee Grams of Lowell, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and godson, Adam. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria with Rev. Greg Billberg officiating.
