Timothy Midboe

b. May 11, 1958

Timothy (Tim) Jay Midboe was born May 11, 1958, on Mother?s Day in New Brighton, MN, to Melvin and Dolores (Berg) Midboe. His Mom joked that it was hard to get to the hospital because of the Minnesota Centennial Parade. A ?centennial baby?, Tim was the long- awaited Midboe boy. After a few years in Morris, MN the Midboe family moved to Alexandria where Tim attended Alexandria Schools and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1976. After High School and trying many things, he found his niche making cabinets. He worked for Creative Cabinets for many years. Finally finding a home at Swedberg Wood Products for the past 20 years. Tim enjoyed working with his hands and seeing the final product. Several years of being single, he met Sue and in November, 2003 they were planning a trip to Las Vegas. This time friends were not able to go with, Tim in his own way said, ?Maybe this time we should get married.? Sue agreed, and that?s what they did on November 24, 2003. Tim and Sue have shared their lives in Carlos, MN. Tim enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, softball, camping and motorcycling. Anything outdoors, even just sitting by a campfire discussing ?world? problems and trying to solve them, or not talking at all. Tim?s vacations with Sue, other than Las Vegas, included going places with great scenery, wildlife and a chance to play golf. Tim and Sue?s greatest trip came the end of May. After many months of planning they took a weeklong trip to Alaska. A beautiful place, he talked about it to anyone who would listen or take the time to see the 400 pictures that they took. Denali (Mount McKinley) even showed itself in all its glory for them. The end of April, Tim was diagnosed with cancer. Vowing to fight (as he told the doctors), he lost his battle on August 6, 2013 at the St Cloud Hospital ICU, surrounded with love by Sue and family. Tim is survived by his wife Sue of Carlos, MN; sisters, Pam Midboe, Denver CO, Laurie Conzemius (Tom), Sauk Rapids, MN, brother Jim Midboe (Lynne), Houston TX; mother-in-law, Barb Beers, Alexandria MN; brothers-in law, Stephen Beers (Germaine), Scott Beers both of Alexandria and Curt Beers, Denver CO; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Dolores Midboe; sister, Kristi Sannes; and father-in-law, Don Beers. Sue and all the family want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers through this. A memorial service was held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Luther Crest Bible Camp Outdoor Worship Area with Reverend Greg Billberg officiating. Music was provided by pianist, Randy Morken and soloist, Bruce Westphal. Eulogy was by Brad Norling. Inurnment was held at Geneva Cemetery in Alexandria. Honorary urn bearers were Brad Norling, Kevin Bitzan, Dave Thompson, Doug Pierce, Tim Fisher, Bryan Heid, Bill Simonson, and Pete Anfinsen.
