Trixie Quitmeyer

Margaret Lilly Delores Quitmeyer ?Trixie? was a loving mother to her six children, grandmother to her grandchildren and every niece, nephew and kid in the neighborhood. She was the Ooga Booga, birthday party and whistle Queen. No matter where you were she was always ready and willing to initiate you into the ?Ooga Booga Club?. Hosting birthday parties was second to none ? games, prizes, cakes and food galore. The ?Trixie Whistle? was one of a kind. It was the whistle that called the kids home, cheered them at their different events, and got someone?s attention when needed. Trixie always entertained with her fabulous feasts, wit and humor. No one will forget her famous lemon merengue, coconut cream and banana cream pies. Along with her delicious array of rice krispies and Special K bars, her awesome oatmeal and chocolate cake. Her homemade cooked whipped frosting was out of this world like her!! The treat was always to be at the right place at the right time to enjoy her baking specialties. Trixie was baptized, attended parochial school, confirmed, and married at Zion. She worked at the Blue Ribbon Bakery and Interlachen Inn before starting her own business ?Trixie?s New to You? store in Osakis, Minnesota for twenty six years. Her motto was ?If you can?t find it here ? you don?t need it.? With Trixie?s uniqueness?s she was recognized by Jason Davis on his Road Again show for her ability to sell anything. Trixie was received into heaven on Sunday, December 16, 2012. She is survived by five children: Richard of St. Louis Park, Doug of Minnetonka, Cindy Kaye of Denver, CO, Scott (Donna) of Alexandria, Gary of Alexandria; grandchildren: Jason Henke, Tonya Botsford, Anthony, Michael Quitmeyer, Mathies Noding, Josh, Tyra Quitmeyer; great grandchildren: Lucy & Hannah; brother, Bob (LaVon) Rapp of Alexandria; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
